During this time of uncertainty and upheaval we may find ourselves in need of some extra support. While my office is temporarily closed for in person sessions, I am currently accepting new clients for phone and video sessions. To meet the growing need for affordable mental health services, I have also opened up more low fee and sliding scale availability.

While the process of starting therapy may feel overwhelming, I seek to create a safe and trusting environment, where we can explore the areas in which you are wanting help.  Whether you are seeking short-term support to learn specific skills to manage stress and anxiety, or are interested in exploring longer term work, I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation call so that we can get a sense of how we might work together.

I have worked with a wide range of needs and challenges including: anxiety and stress related issues, sadness and depression, grief and loss, relational distress, addiction and substance related issues, trauma, PTSD, self harm and suicidality, gender and sexuality, and adjusting to the ever changing stages of life.

I work from an integrative model, drawing on a variety of theoretical orientations including: Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to determine the approach that will work best, providing both brief and long-term psychotherapy.

I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilize these as practical tools to help reduce the stressors of daily life. My style is compassionate, direct and practical.

I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and am certified by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #123934.
